2005 Dam Safety Conference Proceedings

The following is a compendium of technical papers which were presented at the 2005 ASDSO Annual Conference held September 25-29 at the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. All presentations received by the print date are published here. Reports on other activities, such as the welcome remarks, administrative meetings and awards presentations were published in the ASDSO E-News and distributed to all members.

Papers were chosen from over 140 abstract submittals by the conference program committee, chaired by John Ritchey of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Dam Safety Section. The ASDSO Board of Directors gave final approval to all conference speakers. ASDSO wishes to thank those who submitted abstracts, speakers, poster presenters and moderators for their contributions to the conference.

A special thanks to John Ritchey for overseeing the technical agenda and to Working Group members John France, Tim Schaal, Matt Lindon, and Eric Ditchey. Congratulations on a job well done to Bo Bolourchi and the staff of the Louisiana Dept of Transportation and Development, Public Works and Water Resources Division for their contributions as conference hosts; to Steve Snider and Terry Hampton for coordinating the moderators program, and to Susan Sorrell, ASDSO Conference director for her year-round work on this event.
